This custom-built home has been the backdrop to decades of family milestones. Now, as the homeowners enter a new phase, they sought to breathe new life into their most formal spaces, preserving history and heirlooms while embracing a lighter, more modern sensibility.

We focused on revitalizing the Entry Hall, Front Staircase, Dining Room, Living Room, and Powder Room, stripping away the heavy drapery, dark finishes, and saturated colors that once defined them. The goal was to introduce a sense of ease and refinement.

We began with a layered, tonal foundation:

  • A nuanced palette of warm creams, paired with suede wallcoverings.

  • Marble accents and sculptural curves.

  • Hand-tufted bouclé fabrics, exquisite wool, and tailored flannels.

The greatest challenge—and triumph—was curating a delicate equilibrium between past and present. By removing excess ornamentation, we allowed the home’s architecture to breathe, bringing focus to its classical artwork, heirloom chandeliers, and romantic antiques.

The result is a space that feels timeless, yet unmistakably fresh.
