What began as a search for two chairs quickly evolved into a complete reimagining of how this home could serve its owners.
The original layout consisted of an expansive formal living and dining room, rarely used, while a small den off the kitchen bore the weight of daily life. Rather than make minor adjustments, we proposed a radical shift—reconfiguring circulation patterns to align with how the family truly lived.
Key interventions included:
Transforming the underutilized formal spaces into a gracious, multifunctional Great Room.
Designing a 16-foot custom banquette with hidden charging drawers, seamlessly integrating storage and seating.
Converting the former den into a warm, welcoming dining space, anchored by a bespoke bar with a honed marble countertop.
Later, we returned to enclose a simple concrete slab, turning it into a year-round sunroom with radiant heated floors and handmade French clay tiles.
Throughout, every material was selected to balance refinement with resilience:
Bronze velvets, mohairs, bouclés, and hand-applied finishes for depth and warmth.
Reclaimed French oak flooring and Farrow & Ball wallpapers, infusing historical charm.
A Chesterfield sofa in bespoke synthetic leather, offering timeless elegance with modern durability.
At its core, this project was about unlocking the full potential of the home—creating spaces that welcome, evolve, and move in harmony with the family’s needs. Whether hosting an intimate dinner or a gathering of seventy, the home now functions seamlessly, beautifully, and with effortless intent.
